Lucy Bowers President
Lucy Bowers has spent a lifetime around cattle at her home on the Brighton Reservation. She is the first tribal member from the Seminole Tribe to serve on the FCW executive board. Lucy has a long lineage of cattlewomen in her family. Ada Pearce, sister to Lucy’s grandmother, Annie Pearce Bowers, was one of the first Seminole women to own cattle in the 1950s. The legacy continued as Lucy’s mother, Elsie Bowers, and her siblings inherited their grandfather’s, Andrew J. Bowers Sr., herd in the late 1970s. Today, both Lucy and her brother, Marvin, help maintain the family herd. Lucy was essential in the re-establishment of the Florida Seminole CattleWomen, Inc (FSCW) in 2018. Lucy also served as the chairman of the Ranch Tour committee and has organized some fantastic tours for the FCW membership. 2025-2026 will also produce some spectacular ranch tours with Lucy at the helm.
